Jennie L. Shufelt is an Associate in the Firm's Litigation and Health Law Departments. Ms. Shufelt is also a member of the firm's Fraud and Abuse Group, which focuses on a range of health care compliance matters, including the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. Prior to joining Hinman Straub, Ms. Shufelt spent two years as a legal intern at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). She also served as the Associate Director for the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice, providing technical assistance to states and counties regarding how to better serve the needs of youth with mental health problems in the juvenile justice system.

Ms. Shufelt graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School in May 2010. While enrolled at Albany law School, Ms. Shufelt was a Senior Editor for the Albany Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Shufelt received a Masters of Science in Health Policy, Management and Behavior at the University at Albany School of Public Health.
